Summary

Article agrues the how 1999 take over is different from recent attack.  In 1999 , Taliban wasn't powerful enough to take over Afghanistan. 

Now,  Taliban is has future commitments with powerful countries like China and Russia. Afghanistan is totally taken by Taliban.

In Panjshir, rebels may force to Taliban to leave, but they will reunite takeover again,  like they did in 2005 after 2001 rebels. 

In 1990 takeover,  Islamic Emirate 
disregard basic human rights and women rights . Huge protest by women of Afghanistan is again opting towards the history. 

Conclusion

Taliban's current focus should be to work area that are important not on keeping women inside houses.
